UUV Aquabotix Ltd. has been accepted as a member of the Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC), joining a select list of leaders in undersea technologies, including Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

UTIC brings together industry and government with a goal of enabling collaborative and rapid development, prototyping, testing and commercialization of innovative undersea and maritime technologies. Aquabotix was approved to join UTIC because of its proven ability to contribute technological development to support the defense and security of the U.S. and other allied nations.

In June 2018, UTIC was awarded the Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement for Undersea Technology Innovation by the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center. The OTA enables the Consortium members to engage in a broad range of undersea and maritime development and prototyping activities and allows for the delivery of new technology faster and more efficiently than traditional U.S. federal acquisition requirements might permit.
