Antenna provider Taoglas has opened up a new office in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province in China in order to accelerate the demand for internet of things (IoT) applications in the region.
Shenzhen is home to more than 1 million companies in China, and Taoglas says this expansion will quicken the adoption of IoT and connected automotive technologies through the country and region. The office will work hand-in-hand with the company’s development centers in Taoyuan and Tainan, Taiwan, to deliver antenna, filter and connector products to Asia-Pacific customers.
Lawrence Lin, a Silicon Valley veteran and a native of Hong Kong, will drive the business at the new facility as the vice president of sales. Prior to Taoglas, Lin worked as the vice president of marketing and sales at Laxcen, a Hong Kong RFID company.
