AT&T and Ericsson form IoT platform

10 October 2025

As telecoms begin to expand their reach to compensate for a lack of new subscriber growth, AT&T and Ericsson are collaborating on a new internet of things (IoT) e-commerce platform.

Called the AT&T IoT Marketplace, the platform is designed to streamline processes of selling, contracting, provisioning and billing IoT.

The platform offers:

  • Digital catalog
  • Order management system
  • TMF API-based integration and exposure

The goal of the AT&T IoT Marketplace is to solve e-commerce integrations, fragmented product catalogs, inconsistent order management systems and other devices and technologies, Ericsson said. By simplifying these processes, the companies said it can help with scalable operations, accelerate order-to-cash cycle, enable revenue realization and improve operational efficiency,

Ericsson will power the marketplace through its Digital Experience Platform, Catalog Manage and Order Care.

“The AT&T IoT Marketplace differentiates our offerings and meets a wide range of customer and partner requirements,” said Cameron Coursey, VP of Connected Solutions at AT&T. “We are eager to collaborate with IoT ecosystem partners who share our vision of making IoT more accessible and driving growth, particularly among small and medium businesses. With Ericsson's solution, we now possess the agility and scalability necessary to simplify IoT for our customers. The platform has enabled us to reduce the time to order fleet management services from hours to minutes."

Ericsson and AT&T have been collaborating on advancements in connectivity for years including the recent decision to develop Open RAN together for North America.
