04 August 2025

A full-sized general-purpose humanoid robot has been developed by Chinese robotics manufacturer LimX Dynamics.

According to its developers, the LimX Oli is intended for use by artificial intelligence (AI)
researchers, robotics engineers and integration specialists and it comes in three different iterations: Lite, EDU and Super.

In a real-world setting, Oli is capable of lifting dumbbells and performing Chinese kung fu alongside a human trainer. In an industrial setting, Oli can pick up and sort items quickly in a warehouse, thereby advancing manufacturing and warehouse operations automation.

Further, Oli can switch arms with different attachments, such as normal hands, precision grippers and agile robotic hands.

When not working, Oli, which stands at 1.65 meters and is equipped with 31 degrees of freedom, can dance to music with both accurate rhythm and movement.
