Design Notes

This LCD is fairly distributed in terms of discrete PCB assemblies, however the core AV processing all takes place on the LN-R408D AV Board. The next largest boards, and also next largest cost drivers are the two identical LCD driver (CCFL inverter) boards positioned to the left and right of the screen ?these boards serve a primarily power distribution fucnction and are dominated by specialty magnetics and power discretes. There are two separate power supply boards, one that appears to be possibly an off-the-shelf 35W swicthmode supply from Dong Yang Instrument Co. (China), and a much larger custom power supply. One other significant board worth mention is the T-VII board which features a Samsung LCD controller core chip.
