Protect sensitive electronic components with low pressure molding (LPM)

09 November 2022

MoldMan Systems™, a division of Ellsworth Adhesives, focuses on low pressure molding (LPM) machines. Listen to the audiogram to learn the benefits of our Mold-Man® machines and how they can help protect your electronics applications.

Mold-Man machines help protect sensitive printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components vulnerable to moisture, dust, vibration and damage with low pressure molding. Applications such as circuit boards, LEDs, LCDs, batteries, wire harnesses and more will benefit from the protection of low pressure molding. The low injection pressure (between 2–40 bar) of our machines is gentle enough to avoid damaging sensitive electronic components. The hot melt adhesives and thermoplastics used in the low pressure molding process create a custom, solidified material with no waste as any excess material can be recycled.

We work with customers starting from developing mold set designs to prototyping and testing before the final product is created. Manufacturers can design attractive and effective protection for their electronic applications since our machines can create nearly any shape or size item.

Our low pressure mold machines are versatile, customizable, and energy efficient. They need minimal maintenance and have a long service life. These easy-to-operate machines (no special training required) come in tabletop, small footprint sizes and larger machines that are ideal for high-volume production. Able to handle single or 2k material capabilities, Mold-Man machines precisely meter shot sizes and flow control.
