Current Sense Resistors: A Simple and Economic Solution to Circuit Protection

When design engineers set out to design power supplies and regulated battery circuits, their goal is to eliminate risks like short circuits and overcurrent conditions. One solution is to use current sense resistors, also called shunt resistors. These devices are used across multiple industries in applications where short-circuit protection and battery life preservation are key.
