Red Cat Holdings Inc. will add inspection services to its drone portfolio with the acquisition of Skypersonic.

Skypersonic’s software and hardware solutions allow for inspection services in restricted spaces where GPS is not allowed or available. This includes Skycopter, a mini drone that is fitted into a cage to avoid damage to inspected areas and the drone. Additionally, Skyloc is a stand-alone real-time software system that allows drones to record and transmit inspection data while operated from thousands of miles away.

"The addition of Skypersonic will further strengthen our growing suite of highly specialized and unique drone services," said Jeff Thompson, CEO of Red Cat. "We continue to build a strong platform of products and services in the drone industry which is forecast to reach $40 billion by 2025.”

Red Cat said the combined companies will help to accelerate growth in established markets as well as expand into new territories including the automotive and energy industries where Skypersonic serves for real-time inspections in remote locations.
