PEI-Genesis Acquires Fellow Connector Vendor FilConn

03 May 2016

Connector and cable assembler PEI-Genesis has acquired precision connector vendor FilConn Inc. in an effort to accelerate quick-turn assembly of custom connectors.

According to PEI-Genesis, one of the strengths of FilConn is its ability to produce precision-machined parts, rapidly speeding up time-to-market to weeks instead of months.
“Our suppliers have a wide range of standard products, but are not equipped to do low-volume special orders,” says Steven Fisher, CEO of PEI-Genesis. “Having the ability to do a drawing in 48 hours and to fabricate low-volume specials within weeks will be the perfect complement to our existing design and value-add capabilities.”
PEI-Genesis will operate FilConn as a separate company and will continue to work with FilConn as an authorized supplier partner. FilConn president Mark Pendergrass and director of sales Jason Pedruzzi will continue their roles inside FilConn as well as become part of the PEI sales team. PEI will also continue to support FilConn’s existing distributors and representatives network.
