Eaxtron — UL1977 DIN connector

Amphenol Industrial UL 1977 DIN charging connectors by Eaxtron provide arcless and effortless mating while lowering cost of ownership in for material handling, aviation ground support equipment, MRO, specialty vehicles and warehouse operations.

The connectors feature Eaxtron’s patented Vortex Clip female contact, which reduces mating and unmating effort by 80% while eliminating arcing and providing more contact points for higher conductivity, with options for 160, 320, and 430 amps. The contacts are made from pure copper and are silver plated, providing more than 12,000 mating cycles. The plating ensures minimal wear and tear on the contact. Even more importantly the patented vortex clip significantly reduces coupling friction, further maximizing the lifetime of the contact.

The designed and patented locking mechanisms work in conjunction with the user to provide an arcless experience . Additionally the unique design of the female contacts and durable housing nullifies all ‘inevitable’ arcs. When the connector is load bearing, the patented design manages and safely disperses arcs within the connector carriage. All of this innovation allows the user to operate in a truly arcless environment, with none of the risks traditionally posed to both individuals and equipment.

The connectors feature a polyamide acid-proof housing with flexible locking handles that are highly durable to avoid breaking and early replacement. They can accommodate two power pins and up to four signal pins. Color coded cable clamps provide visual indication of battery voltages from 24 to 80 volts to avoid mismatches.
