Newark, a division of Avnet, is now carrying the Jetson modules from Nvidia that are used for artificial intelligence (AI) edge computing applications.
The company is carrying a range of Jetson small form factor computer modules including the Jetson Nano, Jetson AGX and Jetson Xavier NX. The modules come with Nvidia’s JetPack SDK for software acceleration provides a Linus environment, CUDA-X libraries, APIs and tools for AI edge development.
Jetson is a complete system-on-module (SoM) that includes a GPU, CPU, memory, power management and relevant interfaces. The SoM allows for the development of AI edge devices for market segments such as manufacturing, retail, agriculture, healthcare, waste management and smart cities.
The technology provided by the Nvidia Jetson platform can be used to develop autonomous machines that are using robotics, machine vision, internet of things (IoT) and intelligent vide analytics.
Additionally, the platform supports cloud-native technologies like containerization and orchestration for the deployment and updating of AI edge products.
