New eBook from Mouser and Amphenol explores the role of connectivity in enabling e-mobility and electric vertical take-off aircraft

Mouser Electronics, Inc., has issued a new eBook in collaboration with Amphenol, offering an in-depth look at connection and sensor technology enabling electric mobility (e-mobility).

The eBook also highlights relevant products from Amphenol, including sensors, connectors and cable assemblies suitable for EV, HEV and eVTOL applications.

The Amphenol Aerospace high-voltage HV38999 series circular connectors are designed for next-generation aircraft power requirements. Through insert optimizations, these specialty connectors can safely carry high voltages and large currents at high altitudes while remaining partially discharge-free to extend connector life. These connectors utilize the last mate, first break sequence and accommodate standard 38999 accessories.

The SurLok Plus is a high-performance compression lug solution engineered by Amphenol Industrial, designed to meet the needs of high-voltage power applications across industries like commercial EVs, energy storage, and industrial equipment. Offering easy field installation, superior safety features and robust performance, the IP67-rated SurLok Plus series provides reliable power distribution without the need for special torque tools.

Amphenol Industrial's ePower-Lite plastic power connectors are designed to be used in the commercial hybrid electric vehicle and heavy equipment markets. The two-pole, three-pole and four-pole connectors incorporate patented RADSOK technology, which offers high amperage, low T-rise and voltage drop, and low resistance.

The FAKRA to AMC cable assembly from Amphenol RF combines the automotive industry standard FAKRA connector with the micro-miniature AMC connector on an ultra-flexible 1.13 mm or 1.37 mm coax cable. This combination allows for easy connect and disconnect and is ideal for automotive and internet of things (IoT) applications that require compact infrastructure.

Amphenol Piher's HCSP-1BS open loop current sensors are based on Hall-effect and TMR technologies suitable for monitoring and managing performance and safety in battery systems for applications in the automotive and transportation industries.
