High-powered firefighting robot unleashed: Sprays 2,000 liters of water per minute

14 February 2025

A new robot is going to help fight fires at industrial and commercial sites in the U.K. alongside the Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS).

In a bid to help protect firefighters, particularly during large incidents, the new robot has been outfitted with thermal capabilities to detect fire hotspots and help fight fires with a hose attachment capable of spraying up to 2,000 liters of water a minute.

Further, the firefighting robot can also record video, use audio to speak to people and give them instructions, and it can even help remove people from affected areas with a stretcher.

The KFRS suggests that the robot can gather intelligence that can be relayed to crews operating from a safe distance, controlling the robot via a remote console located roughly 2,000 ft away.
