At press time, we’re still in the throes of summer, but it’s not too early to consider attending one or more of the trade shows coming up this fall. In North America, these include the Automotive Testing Expo, Oct. 22-24 in Novi, Michigan; the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo, Nov. 13-14 in Montreal; and Aerospace Tech Week, Nov. 19-20 in Atlanta.
Automotive Testing Expo North America — Oct. 22-24

Source: UKi Media & EventsThe Automotive Testing Expo bills itself as the world’s leading trade fair for automotive testing, evaluation and quality engineering, and it spans the globe with events throughout the year in Seoul, South Korea; Shanghai, China; Chennai, India; and Stuttgart, Germany as well as the North American expo planned for October at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. Free to attend, the expo promises to present industry developments from 250-plus specialist suppliers at the forefront of test, development and validation phases, from prototype through production.
Comprised of short sessions highlighting innovative concepts, prototypes and future trends in automotive testing, the Innovation Showcase is a new feature for the expo this year. Also new is a co-located conference, The Future of Automotive Testing, which will present a diverse group of industry leaders — OEMs, suppliers, testing labs, research institutions and regulatory bodies — sharing their strategic insights and vision for the industry.
Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo Montréal — Nov. 13-14
ADM Montréal is Quebec’s only industry-wide event showcasing 250-plus suppliers across the entire manufacturing supply chain, each shaping the future of the industry. It will bring together six advanced manufacturing areas, including FabBatt (new for 2024), with a focus on battery manufacturing and materials.
A free expo pass includes access to expert-led sessions focused on plastics, automation, processing, packaging, battery manufacturing and more, spread out over three stages on the expo floor. The event takes place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, and 4,500-plus attendees are expected.
Aerospace Tech Week Americas — Nov. 19-20
Focused on driving innovation and technology advancements in the aerospace sector, ATW promises to reunite a community of 1,000 industry experts and feature over 100 speakers. An exhibition visitor pass is free; executives at airlines, aircraft manufacturers and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) firms can also get a complimentary pass with access to a VIP networking area, all conference sessions and a drinks reception. ATW takes place at JW Marriott Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia.
