The global population of industrial robots is expanding quickly, according to the International Federation of Robotics. Over 550,000 industrial robot installations were realized in 2022 in factories worldwide for a 5.5% growth rate.
The largest market for these automatons is China, where over 290,000 industrial robotic units were installed in 2022. Robot installations in Japan were up by 9% to 50,413 units, ranking second to China in size of the industrial robot market. Annual installations gained 2% on average per year (2017 to 2022). Japan is the world´s predominant robot manufacturing country with a market share of 46% of the global robot production.
