Delta showcases USVI series LED drivers with multi-channel output design for signage lighting at SignExpo 2023

13 April 2023

Delta, a provider of power and thermal management solutions, will showcase its high-performance LED drivers USVI series during the International Sign Association (ISA) International SignExpo 2023.

By leveraging Delta’s 50-plus years developing high-efficiency power systems and nearly two decades of experience in developing LED drivers, the USVI series features a multi-channel output design that can provide customized power output to fulfill diverse customer applications. It also features -40° C to 55° C wide operating temperature and can withstand dry or damp locations for application in indoor or outdoor signage lighting, such as light boxes, sign cabinets, channel letters, accent lighting and halo lights. Charles Chou, general manager of Delta’s lighting power business unit, said, “Delta embraced the trend of energy-saving LED lighting two decades ago to accelerate the transformation towards green buildings and sustainable cities. Our state-of-the-art power technologies enable us to develop a wide spectrum of high-efficiency LED drivers, which conform to major international safety standards for indoor and outdoor lighting applications. Signage lighting is one of the core markets for LED drivers, and our new USVI series products, which meet North American safety certifications and are rigorously tested to perform superbly in various LED signage lighting scenarios, promise to enhance energy conservation and productivity in this fast-growth market.”

The USVI series features 12 V and 24 V output voltages with multi-channel output designs. The multi-channel output design allows a single LED driver to provide up to 180 W power output that normally would require two or three separate drivers to achieve, reducing wiring and labor costs in new or renovated signage manufacturing. Clients can choose 1 ~ 3 channel models depending on the total power consumption of their luminaires. The series has a -40° C to 55° C wide operating temperature and can work in dry or damp locations, suitable for diverse climates across the U.S. The series also conforms to the UL 8750 Class P standard, which allows for easier replacement of LED drivers for signage manufacturers.
