U.K. lighting firm Ventola Projects has been contracted to upgrade the Maple Lanes Bowling Center, an iconic bowling location in Waterloo, Iowa.
The bowling center was destroyed by arsonists last year and the facility is expected to reopen in the late spring with Ventola already installing more than 60% of its VAvR light emitting diodes (LEDs) for the project. In all, Ventola will install 10,000 sq ft of lighting to the facility.
The installation of LED lighting will allow the center to deliver general white light or change colors for different mood lighting effects throughout the complex.
The renovated facility will include duckpin lanes, full size bowling, a bigger bar and two vestibule entrance areas. The installation of the lighting is expected to kit out around 14,000 sq ft of the bowling center.
The Iowa project coincides with the launch of Ventola’s VAvR LED display panel, a computer-controlled promotional display that can help entertainment centers showcase their offerings after months of COVID-19 closures, Ventola said.
