CES 2019: Taoglas acquires Think Wireless to bolster automotive antenna portfolio

09 January 2019

Internet of things (IoT) antenna vendor Taoglas has acquired Think Wireless Inc., an antenna provider that specializes in systems for the commercial vehicle market.

The deal, which took place this week at CES 2019 in Las Vegas, will help Taoglas expand its presence in the trucking, bus, off-road and motorcycle markets for antennas. Think Wireless’ antenna systems incorporate two or more frequency bands including SiriusXM satellite radio, GPS, AM/FM, weather band, DAB, HDTV, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE.

Under the acquisition, Think Wireless facilities will become Taoglas’ ninth design and development center globally and the third in the U.S.
