18-bit Sensor Signal Conditioner for Automotive and Industrial Applications

04 December 2015

Dresden, Germany-based chipmaker ZDM AG (ZMDI) has introduced an 18-bit sensor signal conditioner (SSC) targeted at high-resolution sensor module applications.

The sensor signal can be used in portable navigation systems, industrial pressure sensing, pneumatic and liquid pressures sensors. (Source: ZDMI)The sensor signal can be used in portable navigation systems, industrial pressure sensing, pneumatic and liquid pressures sensors. (Source: ZDMI)

The ZSSC3018 can perform, offset, span and first and second order temperature compensation of a measure signal and can provide corrected temperature output measured with an internal sensor. The SSC features a programmable analog front end design, fully programmable gain amplifier, internal auto-compensated temperature sensor and programmable interrupt operation.

ZDMI says typical applications for this SSC include portable navigation systems, industrial pressure sensing, pneumatic and liquid pressure sensors, weather forecasting systems, fan control and high-resolution temperature measurements.

The SSC is currently in production with evaluation kits available.
